A powerful and athletic centre half signed from Paris St Germain at the start of the 2006-07 season. Sol was with PSG from the age of 14 and he starred in the Youth and B teams, but was not able to establish a regular place in the senior squad. Impressed after a trial period and was rewarded with a two year contract. He has played international football at youth level for his parents homeland, Ivory Coast. The 6' 3" defender played for the "Baby Elephants of Côte d'Ivoire" in the 2005 African Youth Championship and represents his country at the Beijing Olympics.
An uncompromising figure on the park and a threat at setpices but still waiting for his first Dunfermline goal.
