"It was a night to play tribute to a player, we used it to get players who needed matches in and to sharpen up players that will be playing on Saturday.

"I am not happy about the goals to say the least but we will put that behind us. That is a defeat, you have to accept these things.

"It is better to carry good form into the season than bad form.

"It was a good workout, Bristol Rovers gave us a good game and we played some good football, it was a decent preparation.

"At 2-1 at half time I wasn't overly pleased with the first half but the second half was very, very comfortable and we could have won by more probably in the end.

"From our point of view we would have liked to have created more but that is easier said that done.

"We were relegated and we had to accept that quickly. Hurtful as it is we have to prepare for next week.

"We have to go to the First Division, it is a kick in the teeth for us.

"We got the fourth and I think that is a fair margin on the night. We must aspire to win all of our games.
